RE: Who makes the best 22" LCD tv?

Eight months ago, we bought a 42' Vizio from Sams and love it! We have had no problems and the price was right. Vizio is becoming a big competitor with the other brands now.

RE: Weighing My RV

If you are a member of FMCA, most of the Rallies include weighing each wheel which is the ONLY way you can be sure of side to side plus front to back weight.

RE: Toyo vs Michelin

Do you have anythihg in writing stating that Michelin now recommends 10 years, rather than 6? I would be very interested, because this is the first time I have heard of this.

RE: Toyo vs Michelin

After 6 years its time to replace those tires. Currently have Michelin 235/60/P22.5 on my W-22 chasis. No problem with current tires.
If you are not having any problems why replace them? Michelin now says 10 years before replacing.

RE: Campgrounds in or near St Lucie Florida

We stay at Treasure Coast RV in Fort Pierce each Winter and love it! It is one of the nice CGs and the people who run it are exceptional. I would recommend it highly.

RE: Brakes are locked

It could be that the parking brake cable is sticky which prevents the parking brake shoes from completely releasing. Never park for extended periods with parking brake on.
I never park for any length of time without having the E Brake on. I do this for months at a time and have been doing it with the last three diesels over a period of 8 years. Maybe I have been lucky, but I don't want that Coach to move. I guess you could use blocks, but I don't.

RE: Ok, who is the oldest active RV'er here? Or maybe

We are both 77 and have been RVing for almost 50 years. The way I deal with the physical things is have it done, if I can't do it. I am not mechanically inclined and have learned when it doesn't work it must be broken and it needs to be fixed (by a pro most of the time). We figure we only have about 20 years or so.

RE: Tiffin Motorhomes????

We have an 06 Phaeton which we bought new and dearly love it!! We like to go to Red Bay occasionaly, but you can take it to ANY dealer and have them call Tiffin to get approval for warrany work. The back up service (in and out of warranty) IMHO, is the best in the industry. This is our 7th MH and we are sold on Tiffin products and especially on Bob Tiffin, a President that you can talk to about any problem!

RE: Tires

It is usually considered smart to change your MH tires at 6 years. Some recommend changing them at 5 years.

RE: Chassis batteries discharging-Tiffin Phaeton

I have an 06 Phaeton which we bought new. I keep it plugged in ALL of the time and my batteries have not failed me once. I do check the water (distilled) level at least once a month and top it off if needed.

CGs between Maine & VA

My route from VA to Maine is I-81 to I-84 at Scranton, PA. I-84 to I-90 in MA. I-495 North to I-95. Any decent Campgrounds between VA and Maine?

RE: Digital Converters are they all created equal...

Don't forget: If you have a new HD ready TV, you will NOT need a converter. I just found out when my older front RV went South. Bought a new Toshiba and it does not require a converter.

We just spent 4 days at Stonewall Jackson State Park in WV and without doubt, it is the very NICEST State Park we have ever stayed in. We have been MHoming for 40 years. This park has everything.
